Choose Life Ministry Launches Liaison Program to Help Churches Respond to Addiction and Trauma

Saskatchewan, Canada — Choose Life Ministry has officially launched its new Liaison Program as part of the broader “Help Us Help Them” campaign, offering churches a practical and sustainable way to support women facing addiction, trauma, and life-altering challenges—while strengthening care within their own congregations.
Across Canada, many churches are encountering individuals quietly struggling with unresolved trauma, substance use, mental health challenges, and crisis pregnancies. While church leadership often desires to help, the complexity and long-term nature of these situations can exceed what most congregations are equipped to handle alone.
Choose Life Ministry exists to bridge that gap.
The ministry serves women aged 18 and older through a structured, faith-based residential program designed to support lasting transformation. Participants receive care addressing substance use, mental health struggles, trauma recovery, and unexpected pregnancy—within an environment focused on stability, accountability, and spiritual growth.
“Our goal isn’t to replace the role of the church. It’s to come alongside it—providing a trusted place to refer individuals when situations require more intensive, long-term support than a congregation can sustainably carry.” — Bradley Holbrook, Executive Director of Choose Life Ministry
At the center of this initiative is the newly introduced Liaison Program, designed to simplify how churches engage.
Rather than asking churches to take on overwhelming responsibility, the program encourages each congregation to appoint a single liaison—someone who maintains communication with the ministry, shares updates, and helps identify appropriate opportunities for involvement.
This approach allows churches to participate in ways that align with their unique capacity and calling.
Engagement may include:
- Organizing focused fundraising efforts
- Providing financial support through missions or outreach budgets
- Staying informed and connected until the right time to engage more actively
“There’s no expectation that every church does everything. But there is a clear opportunity for every church to do something meaningful.” — Bradley Holbrook
The Liaison Program also provides an added benefit: equipping churches with a clear pathway to support individuals within their own congregations who may be struggling with trauma or addiction—offering a trusted referral option when internal resources are limited.
Through the “Help Us Help Them” campaign, Choose Life Ministry is inviting churches across Saskatchewan and beyond to take part in a collaborative effort that delivers measurable, life-changing impact.
